“The 10th China Int’l Furniture (Export) & Woodworking Machinery Exhibition”

■The 4-day event, “The 10th China Int’l Furniture (Export) & Woodworking Machinery Exhibition” successfully lowered its curtain in Dalian Star-Sea Convention & Exhibition Center and Dalian World Expo Plaza last evening. During the 4 days’ business negotiation, this exhibition has achieved great success with the transaction volume of 2.8 billion RMB, which reaches the top compared with previous ones. ■This exhibition was opened in Dalian Star-Sea Convention & Exhibition Center and Dalian World Expo Plaza on May 28. International trade visitors, exhibitors and purchasers have participated the exhibition. Chairman of China National Furniture Association, Mr. Jia Qingwen, has attended the opening ceremony and made the opening speech. During the exhibition, China National Furniture Association held the Foundation Preparatory Meeting of Solid Wood Furniture Special Committee of China National Furniture Association & Enterprisers’ Forum. Meanwhile, Council of Asia Pacific Furniture Association also hosted their CAPFA Trade & Marketing Committee Seminar. Vice Mayor, Mr. Wang Chengmin, interviewed the representatives. The 1st Conference of China Outstanding Solid Wood Furniture Enterprises was held. Besides, the organizing committee has invested 2 million RMB to charter two flights offering free round-trip tickets for trade buyers from Tokyo and Osaka. ■The total show area of this exhibition reached to 60,000 square meters with nearly 500 famous exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions. About 84 thousand visitors have visited the exhibition, among which 3000 visitors are overseas including 2000 visitors from Japan. This exhibition is really a success. ■Enthusiastic negotiation brought large amount of orders. The exhibitors have got large amount of orders through their perfect image showing, advertisement and business negotiation. Dalian Jinling Bedclothes Company has signed contracts of 10 containers of furniture with Japanese clients and they also got many potential orders from 40 furniture sellers in Japan. Even a client who has already signed an order of 100 thousand RMB on the first day came to add 50 thousand RMB to the order on the second day in case it was not enough. Japanese Okawa Furniture Company received orders of 50 million RMB(500 million Japanese Yen) during the 4 days, which is the total amount of their 4 months’ output. Beijing Shiye Furniture Company got orders of 300 thousand RMB as well as 8 million RMB potential orders from Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Their 40 samples were all sold out. Harbin DaBao Solid Wood Furniture Accessories Company got the orders equal to the output in half a year of the whole factory in one day. Dalian Xing’An Wood Products Company was so busy in writing contracts that their staff even had no time to drink some water. In the aspect of woodworking machinery, Jilin Hongshi Forest Bureau and Tonghua Forest Bureau brought some of their members to visit the exhibition. They were quite interested in German famous products?double-side planer and four-side planer. They have placed orders with satisfactory price. |

| ■Meet new clients to set up stable base for later cooperation. As many
international and professional visitors came to the exhibition, exhibitors
got to know many new clients. Dalian Longhua Wood Furniture Company met
over 300 Japanese clients, who were invited to visit their factory totally.
Some even decided to visit the factory again later. Germany Weili and Dalian
Xingang Wood Company met hundreds of potential clients and they were confident
of the cooperation after the exhibition. ■Exchange information and specify the management conception. This exhibition has provided a wide platform for information exchange for visitors to specify their management conception deeply. Some visitors were acquainted with latest information by attending the forums or communicating with foreign clients. They decided to adjust their management strategy according to the advantage and disadvantage of their products. Shenzhen Haosijia Co., Ltd planned to improve their products for 2006 exhibition by getting further knowledge about the characteristics and functions of furniture in North. ■Exhibitors booked the booths for 2006 exhibition with confidence. Many exhibitors were really shocked by the high class, large scale and market scope of Dalian exhibition. Some said they haven’t imagined Dalian market could be that large, which is not quite smaller than that of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. During the exhibition, clients were not only from the surrounding of Dalian, but also from other cities and provinces, like Si’an, Wulumuqi, Guangdong and Zhejiang. With a bright market future and international attraction, exhibitors such as Japan Okawa, German Weili, Qingdao Jiancheng, Dalian Gurun, Yichun Wood, Harbin DaBao have already booked the booths in 2006 exhibition.
