The export promotion committee was established.
11 furniture manufacturer companies of Japan cooperate.

International Development Association
of the Furniture Industry of Japan

International Development Association of the Furniture Industry of Japan(IDAFIJ)
was established in 1957 with the fundamental purpose for promoting the furniture export from Japan.

As is widely known, Japanese furniture is featured by its high quality and refined design with the original Japanese sense of beauty. These points are nowadays recognized by the foreign buyers and attracting their eyes.

Since 2003 we have opened the export promotion stands called “NIPON COLLECTION” in IFFT (International Furniture Fair Tokyo), and since 2005 participated in Koelnmesse (imm cologne),　in 2008 Salone Internazionale del Mobile Milano. In these exhibitions we have been appealing the Japanese furniture to the foreign buyers and designers coming from all over the world.

In September 2008 we established the “Export Promotion Committee” consisting of our member companies that are interested in the export of their furniture. The committee members are now eager to open the overseas market.

The Chairperson of the committee is Mr. Katsunori Shirakwa, President of Shirakwa Corporation.

Please pay your attention to the remarkable furniture Made in Japan.
