Taipei Int'l Furniture Show on March 3-7,2007

The Taipei International Furniture Show 2007(TiFS), jointly organized by TAITRA and the Taiwan Furniture Manufacturers’ Association (TFMA), is to be staged at Taipei World Trade Center from March. 3 to March.7. TiFS 2007 presents a specialized event that showcases high-end, innovative, elegant, and stylish furnishings crafted by some of the most seasoned Taiwanese manufacturers and their counterparts from Germany, Holland, and Hong Kong. The venue will see some 204 exhibitors spread over 981 booths---divided into two thematic sites---one for design-oriented furnishings and another for general items, with the latter to include various categories, including indoor furnishings, OA furniture, outdoor furnishings, home furnishings, foreign exhibits, domestic designers’ masterpieces, award-winning products, and a buyers` lounge with a casual venue for buyer-supplier negotiations. Several activities have been planned for educational and industrial upgrading, including a contest for best designed furnishings; lectures delivered by renowned international designers; and insider seminars on global trends. In addition, the organizers invited foreign journalists to cover the event, such as the editors of Kagu Shimbun-“Kagu News” from Japan and “Furniture Today” from the U.S. TIFS 2007 will provide a practical platform for potentially profitable exchanges between global furniture buyers and suppliers. It opens the way for Taiwan Furniture makers to access the global market and view the latest developments at one unified venue.
